Oh, Teresa ... I've done my share of whining! LOL. And the days I was stranded on the couch, I pretty much avoided talking to anyone because I knew the risk of whining was high. ;)

Sigh. You've been such a trooper through all this. And all I did was whine about my rib! You make a great point at the end of your post -- it's so important to find a way to maintain medical benefits.

When I was doing my research to apply for insurance post-job I learned that if you go without insurance for a period of time it's actually really hard to get reinsured if you can't get coverage through your job.

As both of us have experienced, illness and injury don't take into account your life situation -- they don't wait for a good time!
